Trace an outline of the glasses on the foam sheets. Cut out the shape, as well as two circles for the eyes.
Lightly sand the plastic rims.
Apply a base coat of Rub 'n Buff Antique Gold to the goggles and the foam. Be sure to wear gloves!
Allow the base coat of Rub 'n Buff Antique Gold to dry. Using a wire cutter, cut off the ends of the gold paper fasteners.
Apply a second coat of Rub 'n Buff Spanish Copper to the goggles and the foam.
Cut the aluminum mesh into circles slightly larger than the openings on the foam.
Remove the protective backing. Stick the aluminum mesh cutouts to the backside of the foam cutout. Hold the foam cutout firmly against the goggles until secure.
Glue paper fasteners to the front of the goggles.
