Alissa Ward

Alissa Ward

Alissa is an art teacher with 25 years of classroom experience, including the past 10 years dedicated exclusively to ceramics. She is passionate about helping teachers build confidence with clay by sharing techniques that are approachable, engaging, and easy to implement in the classroom. She believes clay teaches more than artistic skills. Her students continually inspire her with their creativity while reminding her that patience and perseverance are often the most valuable lessons learned in the studio. Cory Brown

Cory Brown

Cory is an Advanced Glaze Designer at AMACO who combines product development with hands-on teaching to help ceramic artists get the most from their glazes. He enjoys helping makers understand how glazes behave and loves those "aha!" moments when layering techniques, firing variables, and glaze interactions suddenly click. By blending technical knowledge with practical demonstrations, Cory empowers artists to experiment with confidence and discover new creative possibilities.

Jennifer Hoolihan

Jennifer Hoolihan

Jennifer is a studio educator with more than 30 years of experience working with clay. She loves helping makers discover new ways to use AMACO glazes and sharing in the excitement of opening a kiln. Whether she's teaching at a community studio, art guild, or retirement community, she finds joy in helping people of all ages explore creativity through ceramics. Kathy Skaggs

Kathy is an AMACO Ceramic Educator and former classroom teacher with more than 30 years of experience in art education. Her passion for clay led her to earn an MFA in Ceramics from the University of Florida and an MAE from the Rhode Island School of Design. She enjoys helping others discover creative ways to make ceramics accessible, engaging, and rewarding. Kyleigh is AMACO's Education & Show Coordinator and has been working with clay for nearly a decade. She loves helping new makers experience those exciting "aha!" moments when techniques click and confidence begins to grow.
